1. Dub
Collins：If a film or soundtrack in a foreign language is dubbed, a new soundtrack is added with actors giving a translation.
Webster：to provide (a motion-picture film) with a new soundtrack and especially dialogue in a different language
Dub来自于double，既指译制片中的配音，又指一切替代原片声音的配音。它的惯用搭配是 be dubbed in。
例句：
It was dubbed into Spanish for Mexican audiences.它（这部影片）已为墨西哥观众配成西班牙语。I will provide the video for download and all that is needed is to dub the current English voice talent with a Chinese voice. 我会提供下载和所有需要的是复制目前与中国的声音英文语音视频人才。
配音演员的英文是 voice actor/actress，用流行语说就是“声优”。
2）voice-over
Collins：The voice-over of a film, television programme, or advertisement consists of words which are spoken by someone who is not seen.
Webster：the voice of an unseen narrator speaking (as in a motion picture or television commercial)
Voice-over就是“旁白”，例句：
89% of advertisements had a male voice-over. 89%的广告都用男声画外音。Nike released an ad with a silent and contemplative Tiger and a voice-over from his now-deceased father. 耐克发布了一则广告，片中是沉默和沉思的老虎，配上他已故父亲的画外音
另外，今天偶尔听到一个老外说“I’m done”,他想表达的意思是“我做完了”，这是非常常见的美国英语。但在英国很少人用，因为“I’m done”在英国英语里有“我完蛋了”的意思，英国人在表达“我做完了”时，一般会说“I’ve finished”, “have you finished (yet)?”
